195

Virtualahan, a Philippines-based organization, collaborated with Voiceitt, an Israel-based leading voice tech startup, to train individuals with disabilities for employment opportunities.

The two organizations collaborate to employ state-of-the-art AI technologies that help individuals with disabilities express themselves and find employment opportunities.

Voiceitt and Virtualahan share the goal of enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by equipping them with the necessary resources and chances to flourish in their personal and professional domains. Voiceitt’s speech recognition app facilitates voice-based communication and interaction with third-party apps, enabling people with disabilities to access meaningful employment opportunities and enjoy greater productivity and satisfaction on the job.

Mary Ann “Yann” Berdera is a testament to the transformative impact of the collaboration between Voiceitt and Virtualahan. Her story, which began with a life-altering poliovirus infection at the age of four, took a positive turn after she joined Virtualahan’s training program. Not only did she acquire crucial skills for online employment, but she also found a supportive community. This narrative is a powerful reminder of the potential for change and growth.

“Working for Voiceitt and Virtualahan feels like redemption,” said Yann. “I’ve been redeemed from 48 years of feeling unproductive. I am working for companies that deliver positive impact to persons with disabilities like me.”

The founders of Voiceitt and Virtualahan, Danny Weissberg and Ryan Gersava, respectively, share a vision of inclusivity and empowerment. Their dedication to this cause, evident from their meeting as fellows of The Global Good Fund Fellowship, instills confidence in the success of their collaboration.

“By partnering with Voiceitt, we provide excluded communities with economic opportunities and life skills to reach their professional potential, and present them with access to cutting-edge technology like Voiceitt that not only improves communication but also opens doors to employment opportunities that were previously inaccessible,” shared Gersava.
