As Christmas approaches, Valenzuela City creates a festive atmosphere by reopening the Food Fiesta and Christmas Bazaar. It also illuminated the giant Tree of Hope last Friday, November 15.
The celebration includes the city’s 401st Founding Anniversary, where Mayor WES Gatchalian led the ceremonial ribbon-cutting of the Food Fiesta and Christmas Bazaar 2024. He was accompanied by Congressman Eric Martinez, Jeff Galvez, and Janina Bautista.
The Valenzuela City Food Fiesta and Christmas Bazaar began in 2016 on C.J. Santos St., Brgy. Malinta. Over the years, it has grown to include several locations, such as Valenzuela City People’s Park, Brgy. Karuhatan, and WES Arena, Brgy. Punturin.

There are 107 local entrepreneurs (65 food business owners; and 42 non-food business owners) for this event, gathered by the City’s Local Economic Development and Investments Promotion Office (LEDIPO). This event continues on until December 22 at:
- C.J. Santos St., Brgy. Malinta
Food Fiesta: Open Fridays to Sundays | 5 PM to 11 PM
Christmas Bazaar: Open Daily | 5 PM to 11 PM
- Valenzuela City People’s Park, Brgy. Karuhatan
Food Fiesta: Open Daily | 5 PM to 11 PM
Citizens can visit the Aero Circle at Valenzuela City People’s Park, where the 45-foot-tall Tree of Hope has been beautifully illuminated. This long-standing tradition, which began in 2004, honors the industry partners and taxpayers who have significantly contributed to the city’s economy. To kick off the evening, the Bitik Children’s Choir, WEScot and the Elves, and Sugar Rush energized the park’s Aero Circle with their impressive performances.
In the park’s Amphitheater, Industry Night 2024 commenced, with Valenzuela’s pride, WCOPA 2024 Multi-Medalist Mr. Benedict Balagot, performed a serenade to the audience. SunKissed Lola wrapped the night with their swooning performance of their hit love song, Pasilyo.
