Shopee, an e-commerce platform, is working with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to make it easier for everyone to shop for Halal foods.
This partnership will enable Halal food sellers to offer their products on Shopee, providing a more convenient platform for Muslim customers to find and purchase their desired items. It will also help small and medium businesses that sell Halal products reach more customers online.
Through the program, halal sellers will be provided training on how to get started with selling on Shopee. It covers topics such as listing products, navigating the platform, and valuable insights to help businesses succeed. This prepares sellers to navigate the platform and help grow their online presence as more consumers gain access to their goods and services.
“Our collaboration with the DTI to onboard Halal food sellers aligns with our commitment to supporting MSMEs and providing diverse options for our users. This is another step towards empowering businesses of all kinds and sizes to thrive in the digital economy,” shared Shopee Philippines Head Vincent Lee.
