ASICS Rock ‘n’ Roll Series Manila is set at Rizal Park on November 24, with over 4,000 runners registered by far.
Participants can join a night race under the holiday lights organized by the IRONMAN Group. Which means they can run, rock, and revel right in this event.
“It’s all about having fun. It’s about memories, miles, music, medals, and Manila,” said Princess Galura, general manager of Sunrise Events, part of The IRONMAN Group during the weekly Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila on Tuesday.
The RnR Series comprises races of 5km, 10km, and 21km. It will guide participants past iconic city sights such as Jones Bridge, Intramuros, Rizal Park, the National Museum, and Manila City Hall.
Julian Valencia, the race director, and Ruel de Guzman from the Manila Sports Council were present at the weekly meeting sponsored by San Miguel Corp., the Philippine Sports Commission, the Philippine Olympic Committee, MILO, Smart/PLDT, and the sports app Arena Plus, which is available 24/7.
“ASICS fervently encourages the belief that a sound mind and a sound body are the pillars of true well-being, illuminating the path to a healthier and more fulfilled community,” shared Kabir Buxani, director of Sonak Corp., the Philippine distributor of ASICS.
Those interested can still register online for both the October and November events. Visit www.runrocknroll.com/manila for more information.
