The Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) will host its annual Awards Night on January 27, 2025, at The Manila Hotel, to celebrate and recognize the sports heroes who made a mark on the Philippine sports scene this year.
The Philippine Star, led by Sports Editor Nelson Beltran, will honor the most outstanding personalities and entities that have made the nation proud this year.
Olympic gymnast Carlos Yulo and the other Filipino Olympians, including Paralympic Games representatives, will take center stage, highlighting the awarding of the “Athlete of the Year.” The event will also feature the induction of another Filipino legend into the PSA Hall of Fame.
Additionally, the event will celebrate the Philippines’ 100 years of participation in the Summer Games, honoring past Filipino Olympians. Other recognition titles, including the Executive of the Year, National Sports Association of the Year, President’s Award, and athletes like Mr. Basketball and Ms. Volleyball, will also be given to the top performers.
Major awardees in various sports, as well as distinguished sports figures and individuals, will also be recognized. The ceremony will include the annual Tony Siddayao Awards and Milo Awards for junior athletes. Finally, a moment of silence will be held to remember those in the sports community who passed away in 2024.
