Government agencies, startups, and industry enablers gathered to support the Filipino startup ecosystem during Philippine Startup Week 2023.
The event was held from November 20-24, 2023. It was organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). The event received support from QBO Innovation Hub, a public-private sector partnership and startup enabler, along with other startup ecosystem stakeholders, including Bossjob and Uniquecorn Strategies.
With the theme, “Investing in Filipino Homegrown Heroes as Global Game Changers,” the week-long event focused on spotlighting 170+ Filipino startup heroes and bolstering Philippine startup investments in the face of global’ funding winter.’
In its fifth year, over 3,000 attendees joined the week-long event to enhance the startup ecosystem, forge partnerships, and connect startup founders, investors, corporates, academia, and government agencies.
PHSW23 hosted a remarkable event that brought together over 170 leaders from the startup community. The event featured distinguished founders leading the charge, such as Bing Tan from Packworks, Dean Bernales from Uniquecorn Strategies, Dennis Ng from Mober, Kimberly Chen from Bossjob, and Nichel Gaba from PDAX. Notable investors and ecosystem enablers also attended the event, including Franco Varona from Foxmont Capital, Melvin Chan from PLDT Enterprise, Uriah Velunta from Multisys, Puiyan Leung from Vertex Ventures, Dylan Keota from A2D Ventures, Paulo Campos from Kaya Founders, Niña Terol from Imaginable Impact, Tina Nepomuceno-Di Cicco from Manila Angel Investors Network, Jojo Malolos from PayMongo, Rene Cuartero from AHG Lab, Mike Maté from Kickstart Ventures, Natasha Bautista from 917Ventures, and Carlo Delantar from Gobi-Core Philippines.

PHSW solidified its position as the biggest startup conference in the country, attracting thousands of attendees from around the globe and showcasing hundreds of Filipino startups since its inception in 2019.
