Philippine Airlines (PAL) is increasing flights to Borongan City in Eastern Samar from Cebu City due to the high demand for air travel to the province.

PAL’s Cebu-Borongan route will now operate third weekly, with flights available every Wednesday.

According to the local government, this new flight will be added to the Monday and Friday schedule, and there are plans to expand before the end of September.

“This is a significant step in making travel more accessible for the people of Borongan and residents of nearby towns, not only in our province but also in the adjacent areas of Northern Samar,” shared Borongan City Mayor Jose Ivan Dayan Agda.

The PAL is the only airline that flies to Borongan City Airport. It offers two flights per week, on Mondays and Fridays, from Ninoy Aquino International Airport to Borongan City Airport via Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
