The Philippine Squash Academy announced it will hold a National Championship from September 12 to 15 at the National Squash Center inside the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
The squash tournament is open to all players and will be used to select the national team. It will feature elite men’s and women’s divisions separated into two events.
Based on last year’s national rankings, Reymark Begornia leads the men’s division, followed by David Pelino, Christopher Buraga, Jonathan Reyes, Aero Dalida, Meljohn Arebado, and Carl Carillo. For the women’s division, Jemyca Aribado is ranked first, with Aysah Dalida, Lizette Reyes, and Aerra Relano rounding out the top positions.
As the host, the Philippines can grant wild cards to players, enabling them to earn points and boost their rankings for international competitions.
