The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) collaborated with various organizations to improve the country’s disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) system using AI technology from Japan.
Partnered with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Spectee, Inc., the Philippines tapped into cloud-based technology Spectee Pro.
An innovative yet affordable DRRM technology, Spectee Pro provides real-time crisis management information capabilities that utilize AI image and language analysis to extract information from social channels. This allows government agencies to seamlessly collect, process, and communicate critical information during disasters or emergencies.

“We strongly believe that our AI Disaster & Crisis Management Solution Spectee Pro can contribute to strengthening the resilience of the Philippines facing increasing natural disasters caused by climate change,” said Negoro Satoshi, Spectee, Inc. Chief Operating Officer.
The first 80 government agencies and local government units (LGUs) will receive Spectee Pro for free. This includes ones from Metro Manila, Legazpi City, Tagbilaran City, Tacloban City, Cebu City, and Davao City.
