The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) announced that it provides free spay and neuter services for underprivileged pet owners monthly through the Kapon for All Pets (KfAP) program with Vets in Practice and Modern Pet partner clinics.
To qualify, individuals must possess a cat or dog that is either an aspin or puspin breed and is between six months and four years of age. An indigency certificate is required.
Pet owners must register online to undergo screening and receive a schedule, as walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
According to its Facebook post, the program operates in partner clinics in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Mandaluyong City, Ortigas Center, Pasay City, Pasig City, Quezon City, and Taguig City.
KfAP offers low-cost spay and neuter services for financially constrained pet owners in Metro Manila, including students, seniors, and families on government aid.
Spaying and neutering are safe surgical procedures that remove a pet’s reproductive organs. They prevent pregnancies, control the animal population, and reduce the risk of diseases.
