City Savings Bank (CitySavings), the thrift bank subsidiary of Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) launched a new mobile kiosk called Bank-on-Wheels (BOW) to serve underserved regions in Visayas and Mindanao, and designated areas in Metro Manila.
This service aims to increase financial inclusion by providing easier access to banking services for people living in remote areas.
BOW offers balance inquiry and cash withdrawal services to customers, making them more accessible. It also supports the Bank’s sustainability efforts by using batteries to power ATMs, minimizing carbon emissions.
“Extending services to regions where branch accessibility might be a challenge ensures easier access for our customers for their daily banking needs. This initiative is a glimpse of what’s to come as we strive to enhance accessibility and improve our services for our fellow Filipinos,” shared CitySavings Chief Executive Officer Lorenzo Ocampo.
