Globe has recently launched its Prepaid eSIM, offering a hassle-free and convenient way for tourists to connect with Globe’s mobile network.
However, it is only available to international tourists visiting the Philippines who use iOS devices. It will be supported on Android devices in the near future.
Tourists can purchase the Traveler eSIM through the GlobeOne app before arriving in the country. This makes it more convenient as travelers no longer need to go to a physical location to get a Traveler eSIM card.
It is available with PHP750 and comes with 20GB of mobile data, valid for 15 days. Topping up can be done in the app or at loading stations that offer reloading services.
As per the Philippine SIM Registration Act, registration is compulsory for all Traveler eSIMs and is valid for 30 days. Tourists can alternatively purchase another one if they plan to stay longer than a month.
If their device does not support eSIM, they can purchase a physical Globe traveler eSIM for PHP300, which comes with 10GB of data and is valid for 7 days.
