126

Looking for a full hustle during this summer? Students and out-of-school youths (OSYs) are invited by the Manila city government to explore their options with the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES), through the Manila Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

There are 153 job opportunities being offered under SPES in coordination with DOLE-NCR, McDonald’s Philippines, and Manila-PESO, headed by Fernan Bermejo.

Interested students or OSYs can register online through this form. Then wait for a call from the online facilitator to confirm their application.

After doing so, the following requirements must be prepared:

  • Photocopy of Birth Certificate or any document indicating date of birth or age (must be 15-29 years old)
  • Photocopy of the latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents/legal guardian; or certification issued by BIR that the parents/guardians are exempted from payment of tax or original Certificate of Indigence; or original Certificate of Low Income issued by the Barangay/DSWD or CSWD where the applicant resides
  • Photocopy of proof of average passing grade (Class card or Form 138) of the previous semester or year immediately preceding the application; or the original copy of Certification by the School Registrar as to passing grade immediately preceding semester/year, if grades are not yet available

Out-of-school youths need to bring an original Certificate as OSY issued by the SWD/CSWD or authorized Barangay Official where they reside.

Only complete requirements will be accepted.

DOLE’s SPES program offers employment to students wanting to earn money while on summer vacation.
