Malls Offer Free Amenities Like Parking, Wi-Fi, and Charging In Response to Heavy Rain and Floods

This Wednesday, several malls announced they are providing free overnight parking, Wi-Fi, and phone charging for nearby residents seeking shelter from the heavy rains and widespread flooding caused by Typhoon Carina and the southwest monsoon.

So far, these malls are:

  • Ayala Malls Marikina
  • Ayala Malls Manila Bay
  • Ayala Malls Fairview Terraces
  • SM Marikina
  • SM Masinag
  • SM Mall of Asia
  • SM Manila
  • SM City North Edsa
  • SM City Grand Central
  • Robinsons Galleria
  • Robinsons Galleria South
  • Megaworld Eastwood City
  • Megaworld Uptown Bonifacio
  • Megaworld Lucky Chinatown

Classes and work have been suspended in Metro Manila and surrounding areas due to severe flooding caused by the heavy rains from the southwest monsoon and Typhoon Carina. Just recently, Metro Manila has been placed under a state of calamity brought about by the harsh weather conditions.
