The Innovative Movement of the Philippine Association of Crypto Traders (IMPACT) brought its CrypTalk education caravan to Bohol to teach students about blockchain and the technology behind cryptocurrencies.
CrypTalk was held at Bohol Northern Star College on March 5 and at the University of Bohol on March 6. Over 1,000 students from high schools and colleges attended to learn about Web3 and its applications in computer science, information technology, business, and accountancy.
Victor Magallanes, Bohol Provincial Officer, emphasizes the importance of educating people about emerging technologies, such as blockchain and cryptocurrency, through educational caravans, as these could be valuable knowledge.
Arlone Abello, who is known as “Coach Miranda Miner” and the CEO of Global Miranda Miner Group, believes that introducing cryptocurrency and blockchain in the education curriculum can help prepare students for future careers in various fields such as fintech, cybersecurity, data analysis, and more. He suggests that familiarizing students with these emerging technologies can be highly beneficial.
“The enthusiastic participation of students and engagement we witnessed throughout the CrypTalk caravan reaffirm our belief in the importance of proactive education on cryptocurrency, blockchain, and Web3. By enabling the next generation with knowledge of these technologies and digital finance, we are laying the groundwork for a more financially inclusive and technologically adept future,” said Abello.
Nelson Lumbres and Melissa Mesias (Co-founders of ICP Hub Philippines), Steve Jimenez (IMPACT Co-founder and Zkex Community Manager), and a representative from the Gensokishi project were speakers at the Cryptalk caravan in Bohol.
