The 17th edition of IFEX Philippines in 2024 gathered thousands of people to showcase over 500 exhibitions of local and international food flavors and ingredients for trade and retail.
The three-day event was held at the World Trade Center Metro Manila from May 10 to 12, 2024, featuring live cooking demos and learning sessions and exceeded expectations, with total export sales surpassing USD 165M, compared to the USD 163.29M generated in 2023.
The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) welcomed over 500 exhibitors and partners nationwide. Visitors included the diplomatic corps, government agencies, trade buyers, retail customers, and media outlets, with support from the diplomatic community from Asia and neighboring regions.
MSMEs benefit the food trade industry significantly. The latest winners of the Katha Awards for Food were announced at a media event, and their products are showcased at the exhibition along with other export-quality food and beverage offerings.
“As we continue to share our language of food to the world, we look forward to more fruitful partnerships for a masaganang Philippines,” said DA Agribusiness and Marketing Service (DA-AMAS) OIC and Director Junibert de Sagun, who IFEX for continuing its effort as a premier platform for showcasing Philippine food for its global audience.
