Android Authority reported that Google plans to launch a feature that provides temporary emails in Gmail.

“Shielded Email” creates temporary email addresses you can share with others. Emails sent to these temporary addresses will be forwarded to your main email.

This is a helpful feature to deal with unwanted or spam emails, as you can simply delete the temporary addresses to get rid of them if you like.

This feature is still in the planning stage, as found by Android Authority after examining the Google Play Services APK. There is no guarantee that it will be officially released or canceled.
