Gogoro Philippines intends to launch prepaid options to give the masses more affordable access to e-scooters.
Bernie Llamzon, president and CEO of Gogoro Philippines, mentioned that the company plans to introduce new energy plans for the prepaid segment without any contractual obligation.
“We hear you and we will soon respond to this clamor as we complete other critical components of the ecosystem. We are finding the price to speak for your budget,” assured Llamzon.
The e-scooter company is also planning to provide more affordable financing options in the second quarter of the year and introduce low-cost scooters in the third quarter to expand its customer base.
Gogoro is expanding its GoStations network to ensure customers can ride without worrying about running out of battery. These stations provide easy and accessible charging solutions through battery-swapping technology.
The company has added nine more GoStations in Metro Manila and plans to add seven more soon. It aims to have over 21 GoStations to resolve the common problem involving the extended time needed to recharge a battery.
Additionally, there are plans to expand to specific cities and towns in North and Central Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao to make electric mobility more accessible to Filipinos and ultimately help address the traffic problem in Metro Manila.
