To enhance its cybersecurity operations across its network, Globe Telecom has partnered with Vectra AI, Inc., a leading provider of AI-driven extended detection and response (XDR) solutions.
This strategic partnership has yielded significant benefits for the telco giant, improving its cybersecurity posture within a year.
AI-powered Attack Signal Intelligence has provided crucial insights. Combined with Network Detection and Response, and CrowdStrike’s EDR has offered complete visibility across its network and endpoints. As a result, its incident response time decreased to 3.5 hours, with a 99% reduction in noise and escalations. This improved security ensures reliable services for over 80 million customers.
Additionally, Vectra’s MDR service provides an extra layer of defense, offering 24/7 support, continuous alert management, threat hunting, and expert analysis. This allows Globe Telecom to focus on high-priority alerts requiring immediate action, while Vectra’s MDR team secures the frontline.
“With Vectra in place, the light started to turn on. Its automation and filtering capabilities allowed us to focus on the most important threats, which made our team more efficient and effective in our response,” shared Anton Bonifacio, Globe Telecom Chief Information Security and Chief AI Officer.
A recent report from Vectra AI found that 73% of security experts in the APAC region suspect their organizations may have been compromised without their awareness, primarily due to alert overload. Furthermore, there is an increasing disconnect between Security Operations Center (SOC) professionals and security vendors, with 45% of the former expressing dissatisfaction with their existing tools.
