In this year’s FutureCast event, GCash revealed its latest features and services, further solidifying its position as the go-to e-wallet app for Filipinos.
Here are the most noteworthy services to look forward to in the app:
GCoach AI: AI-powered Tool To Enhance User Experience
GCoach AI resembles a virtual assistant that aids individuals in handling their finances within the app. For example, users can inquire about their remaining funds using the tool, and then seek suggestions on how to increase their funds. According to GCash executives, it also informs users when they hit personal milestones.
Related to the service, the company has also introduced Gigi, an AI-enhanced chat assistant in the app. Gigi helps users address the safety of their funds within the app when they lose their phone.
“Tap to Pay” NFC Service: Cashless Way To Pay For Commutes
GCash is introducing a seamless way to pay for public transportation and save time by eliminating the need to purchase cards and tickets, particularly during rush hours. Commuters won’t have to fill out application forms or pay additional fees. They just need a smartphone with working NFC and enough funds in the GCash app to cover their fares for commuting on local train or bus systems.
GCash Jr. Visa card and GSave Jr.: GCash Feature for Minors
GCash has also added features specifically designed to encourage financial responsibility in children. Parents can easily send money to their children for allowance or savings using the app. There is a parental control tool that allows parents to supervise and manage their children’s accounts. Children’s accounts can also be converted into savings accounts and used for managing funds.
Just as with the standard GCash account, GCash Jr. will be equipped with a Visa card that can be used to make purchases anywhere in the world. The Visa card will feature charming designs like GCat, Corey G, and GRaf.
The launch date for these new services is not yet known, but it is expected to be introduced in the near future.
