The Subdivision and Housing Developers Association Inc. appointed Frederick D. Go, CEO of Robinsons Land Corporation, as the head of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs.
The Chairman of the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), Arlene Keh, expressed her admiration for the appointment of Go as the head of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President for the Visayas (OSAP-V). Chairman Keh emphasized that the housing industry is not only a crucial social intervention but also a significant contributor to employment and a vital component of the economy. She also noted that Go’s appointment, given his character, education, experience, and accomplishments, is a positive development for the housing industry’s stakeholders, the business community, and the entire economic sector.
Architect Leonardo Dayao, the President of SHDA, has stated that the appointment of Go as the head of both OSAPIEA and the Economic Development Group (EDG), and his supervisory command of the Department of Finance (DOF), the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), will play a significant role in supporting and strengthening the government’s efforts to develop critical policy reforms. These reforms are aimed at addressing the challenges faced by SHDA in housing production and resolving the overall economic concerns of the country.
Atty. Joy Z. Manaog, the Vice President of SHDA, noted that Go is a person of integrity and high moral values. She added that he is an experienced and hardworking executive who is aware of the challenges faced by the economy. According to Atty. Manaog, Go will be able to synchronize economic policies and programs and facilitate a stronger partnership between the government and private sector participants. This will ultimately result in the overall growth and development of the economy.
SHDA has committed to collaborating with Go and the OSAPIEA to address urgent housing and economic issues. The ultimate goal is to assist the government in improving welfare, productivity, and overall economic development.
