Digido, a multi-awarded lending company, has achieved a significant milestone by delivering its secure, dependable, and accessible digital lending services to more than one million Filipinos.
Digido’s platform caters to users with limited access to traditional banking options. It aims to be a financial partner for the underserved in the Philippines. One of the notable services offered is the ‘First Loan For Free,’ where first-time borrowers can get up to PHP4,000 at 0% interest. Repeat clients can avail of a standard Personal Loan of up to PHP25,000.
In 2023, Digido provided more loans than the previous year, with a 23% increase in the amount of money loaned. Most of these loans were given to people who had borrowed from Digido in the past, showing that people trust Digido and are willing to borrow from them again.
According to a survey conducted by Digido, personal loans were the most popular choice for formal credit in 2023 across all demographics and areas. The survey also found that formal credit options have become more accessible to eight out of 10 Filipinos in the past year.
As a result, the company’s banking service has been recognized for exceptional performance, receiving 13 awards in 2023. These awards were given by renowned organizations such as The Digital Banker’s Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards, Pan Finance, and the Global Banking & Finance Review. This is a testament to the company’s commitment to providing exceptional banking services to its customers.
“We at Digido are incredibly grateful for the trust that Filipinos have given to us. We view this milestone as both an achievement and challenge, spurring us further to meaningfully contribute to the country’s digital transformation through increased access to formal credit,” said Rose Arreco, Business Development Manager of Digido.
Digido’s online loaning app is available on Google Play, the iOS App Store, and Lazada Loans (with the AppGallery platform launching soon). For more information about Digido, visit its official site at digido.ph.
