Microsoft’s AI chatbot, similar to ChatGPT, can now be accessed as a standalone app for Android users, eliminating the need to use the Bing mobile app.

Microsoft Copilot features the basic chatbot features, with the big plus of generating images through DALL-E 3 and having free access to OpenAI’s latest GPT-4 model.

Microsoft explained that Copilot is a rebranded app from Bing Chat, aimed to make the former a standalone experience. It also has its own dedicated site at copilot.microsoft.com for desktop users.

The company hasn’t announced the iOS version of the app, but it’s expected to release soon. In the meantime, iOS users can opt to use the Bing app while Copilot is still underway.
