President Ferdinand R. Marcos’ Combat Sports Championship is confirmed to take place in February 2025 at ULTRA in Pasig City.
Led by Dr. Goitia and Capt. McMurray, the Philippine Combat Sports Association (PCSA) is organizing an event that promises to unite martial arts enthusiasts and practitioners from across the globe. This event is expected to be a pivotal moment for Philippine combat sports that will nurture a new generation of athletes and propel the country to greater prominence on the worldwide stage.
The event will feature various martial arts disciplines from all over the world, including Jiu-Jitsu, Wushu, Kurash, Judo, Muay Thai, and Taekwondo.
“Join us this February 2025 as we embark on a new era in combat sports, dedicated to producing future champions. Together, let’s inspire and empower the next generation of athletes,” shared Goitia.
This announcement comes after celebrating Zeus Babanto’s silver medal win at the World Youth Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Greece. Babanto’s victory has injected a huge dose of excitement into the Philippine martial arts scene, and this championship is sure to build on that momentum.
PCSA also acknowledged the contributions made by Vic Pinlac, Judo and Wrestling Practitioner and former Secretary General of PAJA, as well as Gil Montilla.
