Bossjob, a chat-based career platform for professional hiring in Southeast Asia (SEA), used Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology when co-organized the 2nd Filipino-Chinese Job Fair on October 15, 2023, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

During the event, Bossjob showcased its latest feature, which utilizes AI technology to assist job seekers in creating their resumes on the platform. This new function allows users to quickly generate text-based content such as career summaries and job experience details customized to their backgrounds. This means developing a professional-looking resume by inputting basic information and selecting relevant keywords.

The purpose of the new feature is to make the job application process easier for individuals who may face difficulties during their job search. Among those who have found this technology helpful is Mary Grace Barlita, a graduating student pursuing a degree in Entrepreneurship. The new feature has helped Mary overcome her job search challenges.

Barlita once attended a job fair to find internships and boost career credentials. She shared a relatable story about the frustrating job search experience.

“I had already submitted my application and other requirements to a recruiting company, and they told me to just wait. I waited for 6-7 months, but after that, I couldn’t contact them anymore. I felt frustrated because I had high expectations of getting the job,” said Barlita.

Bossjob, equipped with AI capabilities, helps candidates like Barlita showcase their credentials effectively and connect with committed employers.

“Integrating AI into the job search process is a testament to Bossjob’s commitment to revolutionizing the professional hiring landscape in Southeast Asia. We hope that through our latest initiative, we can further empower job seekers to chase after their career endeavors and provide a better job-hunting experience for all,” said Kimberly Chen, Bossjob’s Country Manager.
