The Beep Card, once primarily used for bus fares, is expanding its reach beyond transportation. Through a partnership with Mastercard last November, it is now accepted as a payment option at Shell and Watsons, showcasing its growing versatility.

Collaboration with AF Payments, owner of the Beep Card, and GHL Systems Philippines allows Beep cards to be further used as a payment method at GHL-operated terminals, which Shell and Watsons utilize.

“The partnership with GHL Systems Philippines highlights our dedication to innovation and enhancing the customer experience. By making transactions more convenient and accelerating the shift towards cashless payments, we are taking a significant step forward in our mission to elevate the digital payment landscape in the Philippines,” shared JJ Moreno, President and CEO of AF Payments.

Customers can use their Beep Card to pay at Shell and Watsons by tapping it on the respective GHL-operated terminals.

AF Payments is also exploring further expansion of the Beep Card’s usage in various establishments across the Philippines.
