Despite many criticisms surrounding the decision to adopt artificial intelligence in its services, Adobe insists that AI is the new future for the creative industry.
“Our goal is to make our customers successful, and we think that in order for them to be successful, they need to embrace the tech,” said Adobe Generative AI Vice President Alexandru Costin in an interview with The Verge.
Adobe Digital Media President David Wadhwani acknowledged that some creatives are criticizing the company’s adoption of AI technology, but he admitted that the company would not accommodate these concerns.
“People will either agree with that conviction or they won’t, but we think our approach is the one that wins frankly in the short term, but certainly in the long term,” he said.
Many of its customers, especially businesses and large creative teams, want AI features to boost their productivity. For this reason, Adobe wouldn’t stop developing features and tools aided by AI to prevent the risk of losing its top spot in the creative software market.
